Land Rover China has announced its seventh ‘Never Stop Discovering' tour, which will guide owners to explore the best of Tibet and Pamirs Plateaus.
The new season of exploring China will give owners and enthusiasts the opportunity to get the best out of their Land Rover. Each route is given a star rating based on the natural landscape, cultural experience, the uniqueness of the area, and how much off-roading is required.
Land Rover’s self-driving guide is being developed in collaboration with a number of partners including: China’s Tourism Association, China National Geographic magazine, Car Home, Baidu Map, and Hainan Satellite TV.
Hu Bo, Jaguar Land Rover China Executive Vice President of Marketing, said: “From expeditions all over the world to exploring China in depth, the ‘Never Stop Discovering' tour is the perfect blend of Land Rover spirit and natural beauty.
“Since its inception in 2012, Land Rover’s ‘Never Stop Discovering' has become a unique experience for owners in China.”
More than 30,000 people have taken part, with the tour covering more than 50,000km and 25 percent of China. This year the focus is on Tibet, and Land Rover China is on the search for locals to join the expedition to give owners the chance to experience the region like never before.
The launch of the event also tied in with the opening of Tibetan Culture Week in Shanghai.
Showcasing the best of Tibetan culture, the gallery has some of the finest and most unique artefacts from the region. There is also a number of workshops, where visitors can immerse themselves in the craftsmanship including how to make traditional Tibetan and Yunnan folk art, local food and music.
