2023 marks a significant milestone for our factory -it is the 60th anniversary of the Halewood plant.
As a 60th anniversary is often called a diamond anniversary, we are today launching a new monthly feature to celebrate our very own Halewood Diamonds – past and present – recognising them throughout this special year for the plant.
Our first Halewood Diamond recognition goes to Beth Christian, EMA Programmes Engineer in Paint Shop.
IMPACT
Beth, who joined Paint ME just nine months ago, received a glowing recognition as the Paint Winner of the Reward & Recognition award, presented at the ME Town Hall in December last year.
She was praised for her fantastic support to the PD&D and MPM teams for the work she delivered on EMA (Electrical Modular Architecture); helping to ensure the right engineering programmes and technology strategies are in place when electric cars come to the Halewood Paint Shop.
Beth was also commended for driving engagement across Paint in her role as a Pulse Champion and she was also recognised for helping to arrange driving experiences for new starters joining Halewood ME. As part of their on-boarding process, they are now invited to do a one-hour, off-roading session at Liverpool Land Rover Experience, where they experience driving our modern luxury cars. In the last six months alone, 24 new starters have been able to take up this fantastic opportunity.
Dan Ford, Manufacturing Engineering Senior Manager, said: “Beth has embraced our Creators’ Code and has driven a genuine impact across the function, with our Pulse scores now showing a solid improvement since she started. Beth genuinely cares about creating the right environment for our people to thrive and it’s fantastic to have her in the forum.”
Ciarán Green, Paint Programmes and Launch Lead, who works with Beth, said: “Since moving from BiW ME to Paint ME in April 2022, Beth has made massive strides in her development - not only in her knowledge of the Paint Shop processes for her work on EMA, but also in her role as our Pulse Champion. Beth actions really reflect impact – we’re very proud of her.”
