Sir Kill-a-lot made a surprise appearance during a recent visit to supplier Gurhing by team members from the EMC.
Team members from the EMC’s CME, process and tooling engineering departments faced up to the infamous Robot Wars star Sir Kill-a-lot at a recent Technology Day at preferred supplier Guhring Ltd in Aston Birmingham.
Guhring is a world class manufacturer of precision rotary cutting tools and allied tooling for the engineering and medical industries and supports the EMC by providing tooling solutions to it Machining Hall, involved in the precision engineering of the cylinder head, block and crankshaft.
As part of the event, Gurhing provided an insight into the many various solutions they offer to the EMC and took the team on a guided tour of their world-class facility, included a special surprise, an introduction to Sir Kill-a-lot, who visited the facility from a nearby secure location.
Jon Stanley, who organised the event, said: “We were privileged to have our senior manufacturing manager John Turner attend the event and present an interactive session on production and OpEx. This helped to reinforce our ongoing discussions on Customer First, Pulse and Nurture First.
