Sons and Daughters to Work Day running across UK sites in May
Jaguar Land Rover’s Education Centres in Halewood, Castle Bromwich, Solihull, Gaydon, Whitley and Wolverhampton and are hosting a 'Bring your sons and daughters to work day' on Thursday 17 May.
The day provides an opportunity for children of JLR colleagues to experience first-hand career opportunities in engineering and manufacturing while giving them a greater understanding of their parents' jobs. The programme is open to young people in school years 9-12.
Click here for more details and to apply. The application form deadline is Thursday 29 March. Click here for an application form for Wolverhampton, and here for a form for all other sites.
Young people based at all sites will participate in a Health and Safety induction and tour in the morning. Depending on location and restrictions, some young people may be able to work in their parent's work area in the afternoon. This will need to be agreed with their line manager before the event. The activities planned will be confirmed by each Education Centre in local communications.
If your son or daughter would like to take part please complete the site application below. All applications must be returned by Thursday 29 March. Click here (JLR access only) for contact details for your local Education Centre.
Please note that the event is open to students in secondary school only, year 9 to year 13. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to the children of employees and contractors. Applicants will be notified if they have been successful after the closing date.
