The Halewood Press Shop Toolroom were part of a team who recently did a fantastic job supporting their local church, St Nicholas’.
The idea to help came from Lee Dunning who visits the church with his family. The church serves as the burial ground for the township of Halewood and anyone who lives within the Halewood area can be buried in the churchyard. At the moment there are no new grave plots available but the church found an area at the back of the churchyard that could possibly be used and were looking for volunteers to help with the project.
Lee had a look and realised it would be a big job to complete but thought it may be something we could help with. Lee knows how important helping our community is to JLR after already completing a community project and thought we could really help the church.
Lee spoke to his Manager who fully supported the idea and Lee put a team together to work on the project. The team worked really hard together, Lee shared with us, “It was great to give something back to our local church. We all live locally and we know how much this will be appreciated by the church and wider community.”
