Every year the Halewood PVT get involved in a community project, it’s a real opportunity for the team to work together to help the local community and get their hands dirty!
This year they decided to help the Church of the Holy Spirit Community Hall and Gardens in Dovecot. This is a local hall which is looked after by volunteers. The hall really supports local community activities including, a brownie group, food banks, a local nursery and community fundraising events.
The team decided on the Brownie hall as Michael Richardson’s (from the PVO garage) daughter attends Brownies there. It was really in need of some love and attention as weathering and general wear and tear had made it look a little unloved. The team spent a week there working hard on decorating, wall repairs, cleaning, weeding and just injecting some love back into the building! They definitely earned their Brownie badges!
