The Chosen Ones reclaimed their crown at the 34th Jaguar Land Rover Challenge in Wales last weekend.
Seventy-two teams consisting of colleagues and suppliers took part in the tough 11 hour outdoor team building contest, as they faced a number of challenging activities along a 25 mile designated route.
Determined to win back the accolade they secured in 2016 and 2017, The Chosen Ones beat last year’s winners – The Mighty Schmucks – in a tight finish. Premature Acceleration finished in third place.
Rise of the Uniprats – a team from Unipart – claimed the suppliers’ trophy, while FC Allotment Society of Whitley took the Jubilee Cup for collecting the most activity points.
Each team needed to consider their strengths and weaknesses before tackling the route and activities, which included, abseiling, kayaking, raft building and problem solving tasks.
The JLR Challenge has been going since 1985, with approximately 20,000 colleagues taking part in the competition, which aims to promote teamwork, leadership and confidence. It has also been supported by 800 volunteer marshals in that time too.
