Get the dates in your diary and the tins at the ready as next week we will be converting our Admin People Centre into a temporary food bank to help support Knowsley Food Bank.
For two days only, on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 December, you will be able to make food donations at our Admin People Centre, or your area’s designated temporary food bank, between 08:30 and 15:30.
Charity starts at home and we need you! Together we can help to make a real difference and we have set Halewood the challenge of donating a total of 1200 food items over 48 hours.
Where do I donate?
Each area will have a designated donation station but the Admin People Centre, in Trim & Final, will serve as our flagship food bank on site, where there will be large plastic crates for employees to leave their food donations.
What shall I donate?
If you’re able to, please make a donation- no matter how small. Every packet and tin counts and goes a long way towards supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our local communities.
Below is a list of foods Knowsley Food Bank is in desperate need of, however, anything you can donate will be very much appreciated.
•Tinned fruit
•Tinned rice pudding/custard
•Dried pasta
•Tinned fish
•Tinned potatoes/instant mash
•Juice/squash
•Milk (UHT or powdered)
•Meat (tinned)
•Tomatoes (tinned) or pasta sauces (jars)
•Biscuits
•Instant coffee
How do I donate safely?
Your safety is our number one priority. In order for you to donate safely, please adhere to the JLR and Government guidelines. You must remain socially distanced from other colleagues when making your donations and wear appropriate PPE.
