Halewood Manufacturing Production Integration team returned to the new home of Claire House Children’s Hospice in West Derby. The former monastery was home to Carmelite Nuns and last year the team went to help them settle in, knowing how much work there was to do they popped the marigolds back on and got stuck in again!
The team were kept very busy, clearing paths of debris, trimming overgrown trees and bushes around the Hospice centre, and removing old decaying wooden ramps from around the children’s ‘den’ play area in order to create a new path, allowing a safer environment for wheelchair access by centre users.
Beth Pochin, the Community Partner from Claire House told us: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the fantastic team who spent the day helping out in our gardens in Liverpool again this year. We are so delighted that the team chose to come back and give their time to Claire House again this year. Having continued support from the teams across JLR makes a huge difference to us as we continue on our journey to reach out to more children who need our support, and we are so grateful for the hard work and commitment you have given to Claire House.”
A massive thank you to: Nick Andrew, Jan Taylor, Gav Sidebotham, Dom Mallam, Mauro Ramirez, John Clark, Gosia Bijak-Derkacz, Amy Ellison, Lisa Stukley and Ste Walsh.
