The summer has come to an end and sadly so are the Halewood Education Centre’s ‘Inspiring Young Engineers’ Summer Courses.
The two day courses (there were four in total) proved to be a great success, with a total of 87 young people (eight to
18 year olds) taking part. Visit the EBPC Twitter (@JLR_EBPC) page to see all the fun they had! All
courses were really well supported by all areas of the Halewood plant. Halewood EBPC would like to give a
big thank you to everyone who took part and made it a day to remember.
For those of you who missed out –worry not!
There’ll be another opportunity for students aged 11 to 16 to attend during next Half-Term on Wednesday 25
and Thursday 26 October.
What you need to know –
The course will include a guided tour of the Halewood factory with activities designed to strengthen
team building and engineering skills
Participants will also have the opportunity to visit specialist areas of the Halewood production process
and meet with Jaguar Land Rover apprentices and other engineering staff to find out more about the
world of work
The courses will be 09.00am to 4.00pm each day
The cost is £80 per student. Payment (cheque or cash) may be made in advance or brought in on the
day, and students will need to bring a packed lunch each day
These courses have proven to be very popular in the past, and there’ll be limited spaces available. Places
will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
