Jaguar Land Rover France hosted the second Jaguar Land Rover Festival last weekend at the historic Montlhéry track, built in 1924, near Paris. 4000 Jaguar and Land Rover fans, media, employees and customers came to see the fantasic array of cars.
It was also the perfect opportunity to present the New Land Rover Defender for the first time in France. The legendary Montlhéry track saw the official retirement the iconic Defender in late 2015, when600 Land Rovers gathered to say farewell to the old Defender.
Festival guests were able to see the latest Jaguar and Land Rover models and could test drive vehicles from across the two brands. Guest could experience on-track performance too, driven by pro drivers in F-TYPE SVR, F-PACE SVR, Project 8, Range Rover Sport SVR and Range Rover Velar SV Autobiography Dynamic Edition.
Kids from 11 to 17 years could experience driving for the first time at the wheel of an E-PACE or Range Rover Evoque under the supervision of an instructor. Children under 10 could also get behind the wheel of an all electric mini Defender experience.
As part of the event, Jaguar and Land Rover enthusiasts got to see a fantastic parade of classic vehicles from the SS Mk IV to the XJ220, including different XK generations, the famous E-Type, and historic classic Land Rover's including the 17th prototype build in 1947 together with Classic Range Rover.
The Jaguar Land Rover Festival was also inspiring for the Jaguar Land Rover France Team, as every member was invited to join and participate in the event.
