THE PERFECT PRESENT

A special thank you to our Press Shop team who organised a fantastic Christmas toy and pyjama collection for An Hour for Others (AHFO) last month.

An Hour for Others has a very special connection to Halewood, and last year our plant donated a new Discovery Sport to the charity through our employee Motorvate scheme, which rewards good attendance. 

 

More than 100 new toys were purchased by our kind-hearted Press Shop employees, which were then delivered to children and families across Merseyside in the lead up to Christmas Day. 

 

An Hour for Others also used the Discovery Sport to do some of the deliveries. Gill Watkins, founder of An Hour for Others, said: “Thank you so much to everyone in the Press Shop for the fantastic donations and thank you to the Halewood employees who gave up their time to help us deliver the presents. 

“It was incredible to have our Discovery Sport with us to do the present drop-off. It’s been put to good use over the last few months supporting all the ongoing community outreach work we do at AHFO. Thank you to everyone at Halewood for their continued support to our charity.” 

An Hour for Others is a Liverpool-based charity which aims to build stronger communities and inspire change by getting individuals and business to come together to support vulnerable people experiencing financial or emotional hardship.
