A huge thank you to Pat Thompson and his terrific tool room team who have organised a new toys and pyjama collection for An Hour for Others- with a little help from their friends in the Press Shop!
An Hour for Others is a Liverpool based charity which aims to build stronger communities and inspire change by getting individuals and business to come together to support vulnerable people experiencing financial or emotional hardship.
This is the second year that the Tool Room team has run the collection and so far, the whole of T&PPG has donated 250 gifts which will be sent out to families in need across Merseyside today.
The collection was co-ordinated by Laura Bullen and Andy Woods, from the Tool Room, with the support of Dave Ladlow, from Press Shop, who co-ordinated the Press Shop’s donation.
Pat, who is a member of the Halewood MOTORVATE Committee, was inspired to help An Hour for Others through the committee’s ongoing partnership with the charity, over the last five years.
Jaguar Land Rover donates money and vehicles to local community groups through MOTORVATE - a scheme to reward good attendance.
Is there a local good cause you can support? Maybe there is an organisation that is close to your heart that needs funding? If so, please complete a ‘Donation Request Form’. These are available to collect from People Centres, Line Managers, TU Representatives or can be downloaded from the People Portal. You can apply for a monetary donation, vehicle donation, or both, providing that the charity/organisation operates within our local region.
