Last week, MotorTrend, a leading publication in automotive news and trends announced the winners of the inaugural Software-Defined Vehicle Innovator awards, which honours the next phase of automotive technology, shining a spotlight on leading figures and organisations who are making the shift from hardware to software-based vehicles.
Last week, MotorTrend, a leading publication in automotive news and trends announced the winners of the inaugural Software-Defined Vehicle Innovator awards, which took place at a ceremony at CES 2023.
The Software-Defined Vehicle Innovator Awards aims to honour the next phase of automotive technology, shining a spotlight on leading figures and organisations who are making the shift from hardware to software-based vehicles.
A big congratulations goes to Dave Nesbitt (pictured), Digital Product Platform Director, who won the Pioneer award, recognising his pivotal role in establishing Jaguar Land Rover’s Digital Product Platform, whilst continuing to trailblaze with a vision of keeping Jaguar Land Rover at the forefront of the connected vehicle space.
Dave commented after picking up his award, “It was a real privilege to collect these awards, and I want to congratulate Jim and Mark also. More importantly I want to really make clear that I see these awards as a recognition of the wider Digital Product Platform team across the complete business, through Engineering, Industrial Operations, Commercial, Strategy, Digital and many others. Through the hard work and dedication from you all we are placing Jaguar Land Rover at the cutting edge of digital engineering. We really are the proudest vehicle and services provider."
Jim Morgan, Chief Engineer for Connected Diagnostics & Quality Diagnostics was also a winner, scooping the Domain Expert award for his passion in the field of digital development focused on electrical system quality and connected diagnostics.
Finally, a big shoutout also goes to Mark Brogden, Connectivity Platform Director, who was nominated in the Leader category for his critical focus on Digital Software Development whilst also being an integral part in establishing our software hubs in Manchester, Shannon, Budapest and more.
