Here are some of our Motorvate donations in Halewood last week...
Elizabeth Acker is part of The Ananis, who perform at a range of charity events around the Northwest. They promote and educate about
Brazilian and Latin culture. They raise awareness about mental health and physical wellbeing. They need to buy materials for new costumes that will be made by the volunteers. Elizabeth tells us, “Being involved has increased my confidence and helped my general health and wellbeing in a positive way.
Glenn Amos is a volunteer for The Birkenhead Youth Club where he runs the under nines football team. The Youth club provides a number of activities for children to do in their spare time. The club wants to prepare young people for the future by helping them to develop through mental and physical activities. The donation will help to replace their aging Samba Goals which are used every day.
Stuart Baxter’s nephew, Paul Houlihan is the Coach and Manager of the Sankey Strikers U9 AFC. Stuart is always impressed by Paul’s willingness to give up his spare time for all the children involved with the football club. The club is in need of new equipment and this money will really put a smile on the children’s faces!
Paul Dunleavy has requested funds for Halton Haven Hospice, who helped his family through a difficult time with great care and dignity.
The Hospice provides specialist palliative care to people from Halton and surrounding areas who are living with end of life
conditions. Each year they care for around 200 patients across the twelve private rooms that are now in desperate need of refurbishment. This will improve the overall quality of the rooms giving them a modern, welcoming and positive atmosphere for patients.
