Zoute Grand Prix immortalises Land Rover in chocolate
Jaguar Land Rover
Land Rover has celebrated its 70th anniversary at the ninth International Zoute Grand Prix in Belgium with the creation of two chocolate Defenders.
The race meet in West Flanders, Belgium, saw both Land Rover and Jaguar showcasing their latest and greatest vehicles, but it was The Chocolate Line’s chocolatier Dominique Persoone’s Defenders which stole the show.
The pair of miniature but incredibly detailed and edible Land Rovers were made to celebrate the brand’s anniversary. One was shared during the grand prix and the other auctioned at Bonhams, selling for €575, with the proceeds going to the Unsung Heroes charity – who support small local charitable projects.
The event itself saw some of the latest and greatest vehicles Jaguar Land Rover has made in attendance with the I-PACE and XE SV Project 8 wowing the crowds. While a collection of Jaguar E-types and XKs participated in the main rally, with brand ambassadors Jef Neve and Philippe Geubels taking part.
