Dear colleague,
We are pleased to confirm the JLR UK shutdown holiday dates for 2026.
The links below show the dates for each location. This year, some sites have different shutdown dates within each location. Please pay extra attention to which link applies to you. If you do not follow the production shutdown dates, please refer to the UK non-production-aligned brief. We will also list the dates on the Our JLR App and other internal communication channels.
The fixed shutdowns are essential to support our future vehicle programme launches for EMA, MLA BEV and JEA, along with enabling critical maintenance and engineering work. There are several key points to note for next year:
NEW YEAR 2026: New Years Day 2026 falls on a Thursday. Therefore, Friday 2 January 2026 is to be booked as annual leave.
SOLIHULL D7a (BS3 and FA2): Fixed shutdowns are required for Easter, Whitsun, Summer and Christmas to support launch readiness activity.
SOLIHULL MLA and all other Solihull areas (including; MP&L; Paint; Plant Quality; OTA & ASRS) have fixed Summer and Christmas shutdowns.
BAC, CASTLE BROMICH STAMPING, SVO have fixed Summer and Christmas shutdowns.
HALEWOOD: Fixed shutdown periods are required for Easter, Whitsun, Summer and Christmas to support launch readiness activity. Please note there is expected to be some critical launch activity taking place during the Whitsun week, which will require some teams to work. Affected employees will be advised locally in due course.
HALEWOOD STAMPING: will follow Solihull MLA shutdown plan.
EPMC and CASTLE BROMWICH: have a varied approach depending on where in the plant you work, please see links below.
CHRISTMAS 2026: Christmas Day falls on a Friday in 2026. Therefore, to ensure all colleagues have time to rest, recharge and come back to work with fresh energy and ideas, four days of fixed annual leave have been scheduled across all UK sites in 2026 (Thursday 24, Tuesday 29, Wednesday 30, Thursday 31 December).
